Spring is just a few days away, and as one of my favorite times of the year, I cannot help but prepare for the newness and freshness that comes with it. It is that time of the year to shake those mid-winter blahs and give my home a fresh new look. Besides, I would like to share some of the decoration ideas that will spruce up your home. It would not cost you much when using these ideas, not forgetting how simple they are and anybody can implement them. Here are the five home décor ideas that will make your home come to life for the spring:
Update you accessories
This is the time of the year when you have the freedom to get rid of all the accessories that were used during the winter months. For instance, pare down your fireplace mantel and coffee table and lighten your bookshelf. Get rid of all dark candles if you decorate using candles and replace them with ivories and whites.
Music plays a significant role in our life. It is essential to ensure that you have beautiful and lively music playing with the windows wide open. Also, add some scented candles and do some barefoot free dancing in your room. This will help relieve the stress that you had maybe gone through during wintry months
Liven things up with plants
This is one of the best and easiest ways to decorate your home for spring. The fresh and greenery flowers help in bringing the outdoors in and brightening up space.
Change up your furniture
Having spent most of the wintry time in maybe dark environment, it is that time of the year that you need to enjoy some light and fun furniture. Change that dark wood bench and bring out the spring colored seagrass or wicker chairs. Your bathroom, living rooms, bedrooms, and balconies will have an incredible look when furnished with garden-inspired furniture. A mixture of some vintage watering cans will spice your home and bring out some spirit of spring and summer.
Though it is one of the most expensive undertakings, if you have stayed with a carpet for some days, it is that time of the year that you need to remove it. Consider taking the plunge and updating the floors to a solid surface that is easier to clean, more hygienic, and more modern. I would recommend that you use wooden tiles to maintain the room temperature and more comfortable to clean.
